Being an internet marketer I’m always looking for what’s going to be trending in the future. I was reading through some articles online and found an article from businessnewsdaily.com regarding proximity based social networking. If you’re not sure what “proximity based social networking” is then let me fill you in. Think about having a Facebook that automatically friends people based on how close they are to you as well as your interests.

For example if I’m sitting in a coffee shop downtown and post a picture of my Adsense earnings for 2011 and one of my interests are internet marketing and there happens to be someone else that looked at my photo, liked it and has the interest of internet marketing as well it would basically add them to your firends list and allow you to network with them if you and that other person felt like networking.

How Proximity Based Social Networking Works (In A Nutshell)

1. You’re going to need an app for your mobile device with the “proximity based social networking” application on it

2. The app will collect data from social networking sites you’re already a part of such as Facebook, linkedin, twitter etc..

3. The “proximity based social networking” app will gather data from these social networking sites such as your newsfeeds and preferences

4. Your location will be gathered via your smartphone

5. All the information will be compiled by the “proximity based social network” and then fed to you.

A cool example of this working to simply meet someone with your same interests would be an instance of where you just purchased a plane ticket to Las Vegas because you’re going to a wedding and wrote about it on your Facebook wall, one of your interests is a stand up comic that’s performing in Las Vegas the weekend you’re going to be there. While you’re stuck in Sin City with a bunch of people that want to go out and get hammered and gamble the remainder of their life savings away you just want to go to see this comic perform. It seems you’re out of luck.

That is until the proximity based social network you’re using just identified 12 gorgeous ladies that share your particular interest in that comic and then even further more are narrowed down to where you share even more interests with 6 of them. Now you know of some ladies you can ask to go to the show with you, it’s up to you to close the deal though, all a proximity based social network can do is help find people sharing your same interests

I personally feel like most of the groundwork has been laid by the already in place social networking sites like Facebook for proximity based social networking to really take off and gain a solid footing in 2012.

Alright for starters, there’s an awesome website out there called Twiends. Basically it allows you to sign up and earn things called seeds, you offer people so many seeds for following you and you earn seeds by following people. However even though it’s free if you want to speed up the process a bit you can actually purchase seeds for money.

With that said I would have to say Twiends is probably the absolutely easiest way to start building a following, other than that there’s few other ways for an everyday person to start gaining massive amounts of followers but here’s some ways.

1. Be creative with your tweets. This helps you gain followers by getting retweeted and by simply making people care about what you’ve tweeted.
2. Get involved in the hashtag conversations. I’ve gotten quite a few followers that way.
3. Talk to people, search for people talking about a topic you’re interested in and toss in your 2 cents.
4. Add a follow me thing to your website or blog, I don’t do this mostly because I’m lazy and I don’t know if it’s really worth the extra space vs. a different type of banner but I’m sure it would help and I know it helps a lot of other people as well.

Now I’m searching for a certain segment of these fans, they already like a certain game so lets go a little deeper and target those that like a certain part of it that there isn’t a fan page for or might be some seriously weak competition for.

Now obviously there’s already a fan page for COD, a huge one with something like a million fans. Now I took out a section of the game, lets call it sniping. There’s obviously going to be plenty of people that enjoy that part of the game. So we need to make a cool graphic, maybe even find a YouTube video that shows a cool sniper shot and place that on the page people are going to land on. Then we need to place a call to action on the graphic that tells them to like the page.

Hey people, sorry it’s been so long since I updated my site with anything. I’ve been pretty lazy lately and haven’t really gotten too excited about anything until recently, Facebook marketing. I’m going to go over what I’ve learned over the past week and shed out a little information and hopefully if you read this and you’re a beginner/novice looking to get started making some money on Facebook it will help you get a much quicker start.

Alright, the vast part of my excitement as well as the knowledge I’ve been armed with has come from some webinars two of which are from Offervault.com. If you’re not a member of Offervault then I strongly recomend that you sign up, it’s a great place to find affiliate offers and you get some of the top online marketers providing you with great educational material. I also watched a couple Youtube videos on how to create a good Facebook Fanpage.

As far as the webinars go they really help you figure out exactly what it takes to become successful at using FB for marketing, they go through extreme detail and basically tell you everything you need to know. They also helped me figure out the best way to use the advertising platform that FB uses. I find that to be extremely important because I know in order to be successful I’m going to need to give my fanpages a little bit of a boost at first using some paid advertising and if I can learn how to properly use it and keep costs down and get effective results.

Now there’s not a lot of good information in this post, I just wanted to more or less give everyone the chance to figure out what I’m up to and tell you about those offervault webinars regarding facebook marketing. With my next post I’m going to go over how to setup a FB fanpage and I plan to put up a nice little series on how to get started and help remove the learning curve for people just getting started.

Steak Recipes – The Start Of A Great Steak

Steak recipes, there’s hundreds, possibly thousands of them but which one is the best? This is something that is most likely going to be argued by many but for arguments sake I’m going to just let you know what I feel is the best way to cook a great steak.

This steak recipe is going to be a bit on the fly, what I mean by that is that it’s going to be extremely open and just guide you through the process of creating a wonderful meal and experience. After all, that’s what we really want out of a great steak recipe, right?

Steak Recipes – Make Sure You Get Good Meat

For starters we need to begin at the butcher shop, I’m sure there’s a particular one in your town or city that you know has the best meat or a great reputation for producing great cuts of meat. This is where a great steak recipe begins, good meat. If you start without a good piece of meat it’s definitely going to be a challenge. It doesn’t really matter which type of steak you purchase, it could be a ribeye, T-bone, new york strip, sirloin etc. It’s simply important that you make sure you start off with a good cut of steak. Another important detail that we’ll get to later is that you need to make sure you purchase at least once extra steak.

Once you’ve selected the steak to begin your recipe you may want to check through the rest of the store for other food to include in the meal. Personally I almost always have to have a baked potato and house salad with my steak dinner, I also generally include some form of bread as well. Although by any means you don’t need to include this in your ultimate recipe for a wonderful steak dinner. If there’s something else you would like to have with your steak just make sure you pick it up.

A few other miscellaneous items you may want to include while you are at the store would be a bottle of your favorite wine, maybe even two bottles. If you’re not big on wine then it’s always nice to make sure you have some cold beer in the fridge as well. We also don’t want to forget about seasoning, if you don’t have any seasoning at home I advice at the least you pick up some Lawry’s seasoning salt, it definitely does a wonderful job of adding flavor and is something I would include in nearly every steak recipe.

Good Wine Is A Key Ingredient To Any Great Recipe

Once you’ve made it back to the kitchen it’s time to begin preparations. First off poor yourself a glass of wine or crack open that beer. After you’ve accomplished the first step it’s time to season your steak or steaks. If you have time before you’re going to cook the steak you may want to find a good recipe for a marinade that you think you would like and marinade the meat for a few hours or possibly even over night. Personally I generally go with a dry rub with a blend of spices that will create the certain type of flavor that I’m looking for and if I can’t figure that out I simply go with the Lawry’s seasoning salt that I spoke about earlier.

If go with a marinade for your steak recipes then I would advise to simply place the steaks either individually or all of them into a zip lock bag (sometimes I will double up the bags to help keep anything from leaking out). Also, don’t forget to get most of the air out. Once you’ve accomplished that I like to rub the bags with my hands and help work the juices into the steaks, I don’t know if it helps but I do it.

Now on the other hand if you’re going to go with a dry rub for your steak recipes, well that’s pretty easy. The only thing I would advise to be careful of is over seasoning your steak. I sprinkle the seasoning on both sides of the steak and then I use a tenderizer on the meat. Some people may prefer not to tenderize and then you may want to massage the seasoning into the steak with your hands. I’m fairly certain there’s not a wrong way to do it, however if you’ve already drank your fair share of an alcoholic beverage then you may want to let someone else use the tenderizer on your steaks.

The Best Steak Recipes Involve Grilled Steaks

Now onto the next part of the best steak recipe, cooking the steaks. This is something that you should definitely do yourself. Even if you’re not the best grill man (I always use a grill to cook steak, I don’t think you’re doing yourself any justice if you decide to cook it any other way). This is where that detail about purchasing the extra cut of meat for the steak recipes is going to come into play as well.

Once you know how everyone wants their steaks cooked then it’s time to fire up the grill and get to the cooking part of the best steak recipe. I like to sear the top and bottom of the steak as it helps to keep the juices and flavor inside the meat. That means I start cooking the steaks on the hottest part of the grill. I generally only leave them for a couple minutes on each side and then move them to a cooler part of the grill for further cooking.

While you’re cooking the steaks the extra steak is going to be your test dummy. You simply cut off small pieces and eat it while you’re cooking. That also means you don’t need to cut into anyone else’s steak while you’re cooking to check on it either. It may take you a little while to perfect this technique but I’m sure that in time you will find that it’s truly one of the best steak recipes if not truly the best steak recipe period.

Article Marketing Robot – Before I Found It

Article Marketing Robot is one of the newer article submission tools on the market right now. Obviously, it’s not the only one either and that means if you’re not willing to purchase and compare the different article submission software on the market then you need an honest opinion before you make your choice.

As far as article submission software goes I have tried 5 different pieces of software and I found AMR or Article Marketing Robot to be the best. Make sure you read through before you decide the same thing though. The first program I tried was completely free and I had to manually sign up for accounts, verify e-mails and then enter the information into the account section of the submission software, not to mention enter captchas on a lot of the submissions. There was actually 2 programs just like that, I forget their names and I have deleted them permanently and don’t ever want to see them again because now I have article marketing robot.

The next best submission software that I used was Magic Article Submitter, it signed up automatically to directories, I still had to enter captchas but it did verify e-mails for me. However I could never tell if it was actually ever working or not so I decided to perform an experiment. I setup a blog for a fairly easy keyword phrase to rank for and I wrote a few articles and Magic Article Submitter told me it submitted my articles to over 700+ article directories!!! I couldn’t wait to see my blogger blog hit page one and check the back links, unfortunately about a month later I checked to see how many links I had to my experimental blog and it was 11…. From 3 articles, one of them spun, I received a total of 11 back links and it was only from about 5 different sites. No wonder I wasn’t even hitting the top of page 2 for the search term

Now before I found Article Marketing robot I did manage to find another article submission program that worked very well, however it took a lot of time and my articles still had to be approved before they would be submitted. I’m not saying any of this stuff simply to try and get you to buy it, it may be more powerful that what you really need. As far as I’m concerned it’s the perfect tool for what I wanted to be able to do. I needed something that I could write an article whether it was a spun article or not and have a program submit it to hundreds or even thousands of article directories and AMR or Article Marketing Robot allows me to do that. I’m going to go through everything so I can make sure you have a perfectly clear idea of everything it does.

1. Accounts - The first thing I loved about Article Marketing Robot was that it created all of the accounts for me. This is absolutely a must because I am definitely not going to register to the 3000+ directories that are in the software’s database manually. The only thing I had to do was setup an e-mail address which I did through my hostgator account, I created something like articles@mydomain.com and that made sure I was able to register to directories such as goarticles.com because they won’t accept generic addresses such as gmail or yahoo accounts.

2.Article Directories – The amount of article directories that Article Marketing Robot submits to is unprecedented, in fact I think it’s just about completely insane. These aren’t just crappy article directories either, there’s hundreds of them over PR1 and they go up to PR6 and include the really good directories such as ezinearticles.com, goarticles.com sooperarticles.com and articlebase.com just to mention a few.

3. Setting Up An Article For Submission – This software makes it so easy to setup an article for submission, it’s just like if you were submitting to any of the sites such as ezinearticles.com. You simply input your title, summary, article body, resourcebox, categories and keywords and then you select the directories you want to submit to (I always just submit to all of them) and then you press the submit button and you’re off to the races.

4. Article Submission Scheduling – That’s right, you can even schedule your submissions with Article Marketing Robot, this means that you can set AMR up to drip feed your articles over a period of time to make your links appear more naturally occurring (I’ve never worried about that personally, I just blast them all at once.).

5. Reporting! – This is my favorite feature, the reporting on this program is just absolutely amazing. You can either generate a simple submission report which details the successful submissions and the ones that have failed OR you can have the software generate you a CSV, HTML or RSS XML file. This means I can submit my articles and then the reports give me the full URLs to my articles so I can use a program like scrapebox or xrumer to build links to my articles and have them indexed faster and rank better.

6. Built In Spinner – Yup, Article Marketing Robot even has a built in article spinner. That means that it includes one of the most important tools for those of you that are looking to make sure the articles you’re writing look unique to the search engines. I still personally think that duplicate content is a myth for the most part but if you’re like me and use a lot of PLR articles for link building purposes it’s still a good idea to toss a bit of a spin on them so that many of the better article directories will accept them (I find that sometimes you just need to spin the titles). I still do some spinning on occasion though and having a built in spinner is nice, even though I also own TBS aka The Best Spinner I still find myself using the built in spinner that comes with Article Marketing Robot.

If you’re serious about article marketing or simply building lots of quality back links to your website or sites then I really think Article Marketing Robot brings a lot to the table and as far as I’m concerned it’s the best submission tool on the market right now, especially for the price.
